How you can help us

Pro Cosara relies on donations to protect the San Rafael Reserve and educate the public about the importance of conserving one of Paraguay's last remaining forests. Funds are received from international foundations, local businesses, and individual donations from around the world. As Pro Cosara is a non-profit organization, achievements such as the construction of park guard housing and covering administrative costs, have been made possible by donations from its members.

Land purchasing is one of our priorities, as it assures conservation. Donations are tax-deductible and donors will be presented with a certificate to recognize their vital contribution. Donations are used for park guard equipment, to maintain facilities, and to provide environmental education for local populations and the general public. In consideration of local economic conditions, Pro Cosara does not charge entrance fees for local visitors and school groups.

If you wish, you can request that your donation be used to purchase land in the San Rafael Reserve. This property is bought from land owners in the reserve, who are not clearly committed to reserve conservation. Land purchased will be added to a land trust to preserve it in perpetuity.
